Modern Warfare 2 2022 Campaign Review
On 10/20/22 Infinity Ward released the Modern Warfare 2 campaign to play through a week ahead of the multiplayer launch so you could grind through it and collect the rewards for finishing the missions. As I pre-purchased the Digital Vault Edition, I was able to play through the campaign, and I have to say I’m quite impressed. The graphics and gameplay mechanics are incredible! I enjoyed the playthrough and have attached a link to the gameplay footage of the missions.

The gameplay was fun with the new mechanics blending well with the storyline and gameplay.
It looks like the solo-unarmed gameplay in El Sin Nombre, Alone, and Countdown leads you to believe this playstyle is how you will start out the new missions in the new DMZ mode that will be released 11/16/22 when WARZONE 2.0 releases. Really looking forward to these as well.
Tradecraft was visually one of the best missions to experience. Visually stunning. It was like walking the streets in Amsterdam. There are many photos you can look up online where they compare the location to the in game render. I highly recommend checking it out!
Close Air was also tough because I fired close to buildings and hit some innocents while targeting the enemies. I made more mistakes than I should have, but it was a great mission and I enjoyed it!
The mission entitled Violence and Timing is one of the toughest ones I played because… well my timing was not just right! I died so many times over and over again to figure out how to jump, shoot, dodge, hijack, plant bombs…. I had to take a break before completing it.
Dark Water was probably my favorite mission as the scenery was familiar. I really enjoyed making my way through the platform, the quarters, the ship and to the end. It was fun and challenging. The attention to detail and the physical mechanics on this mission were top notch!
