Call of Duty MW3 Season 3 brings back the beloved and memorable Rebirth Island Resurgence, a fan favorite and familiar map COD players know and love. So how does it play? It plays well, mostly. There are a lot of players online revisiting this map and mode so expect server load to be high. Initial drop my team encountered packet loss of up to 20% for the first 3 games and there was a little lag, but the next few games afterwards definitely improved. Latency was back to normal with virtually no lag. The Season 3 weapons balancing is pretty fair and I think it’s in a good place. Play with the guns you like and you can definitely challenge. I ran the Holger 556 paired with both the SPX80 and MCPR3000 sniper rifles, MCPR3000 is still top tier. For a list of all of the updates and changes, check the patch notes here.
If you haven’t dropped into MW3 or MWZ lately, come back and give it a shot if for no other reason than the nostalgia. Don’t forget to give Warzone Mobile a chance too. It took over 2 years to come to fruition, but it’s finally released worldwide. Apple devices are running it well, Android devices still have some performance challenges due to hardware varieties and conflicts but the devs are pushing updates frequently to address and improve them.
