Customer bought a prebuilt with great specs but the PC didn’t perform as it should have originally. It was constantly running super high temps, had poor performance and multiple crashes running any games. It would not start games, would not load into games, and would have random app crashes. Initially when purchased the prebuilts wouldn’t even load into windows which I diagnosed as a CPU issue. The company disagreed and said it must be a motherboard issue, but the customer shipped it back and it was indeed the CPU that was the issue so they replaced it and sent it back.
The customer continued to have the same issues so we agreed to swap platforms and do a case swap at the same time. Found the insulation stripped off one wire leading to the AIO which could have attributes to the high temps, but this was caused by pulling the cables too right when managing the cables in the back of the case. This is a very easy and costly mistake to make.
After building in the new case, loading windows and setting up all games this machine is running cool, stable and doesn’t quit. The Ryzen 7 7800x3d is one of the best gaming CPUs at this time…. If you can find one.
